Meet Daniel
Daniel Lawless is a conservative small businessman from Oakland County, raised in a middle-class Catholic family as the second of six children. An Eagle Scout and graduate of Lake Orion High School, Daniel studied political science at Michigan State University before entering the private sector and Republican grassroots politics.
After college, Daniel became active as a precinct delegate and went on to build a successful career in the restaurant industry, focusing on operations, quality control, and training managers before becoming a franchise owner. Running a business taught him firsthand how high taxes, rising healthcare costs, and government overreach make it harder for families and job creators to get ahead.
Frustrated by lockdowns, runaway spending, and decisions being taken away from parents and local communities, Daniel stepped up to fight back. He has served Oakland County on the Michigan Republican State Committee and is running to challenge the status quo, restore accountability, and deliver conservative leadership that puts Michigan families, seniors, and taxpayers first.
